The Most Important Truth

I will be posting a lot of different entries on this blog about a lot of different things, so I wanted to start with what is MOST important. The most important truth is the truth of The Gospel. Ultimately, this is what matters the most.

Jesus came to the Earth, was born of a virgin, lived and performed many miracles. He opened blinded eyes, caused the lame to walk, delivered and set people free, and even raised the dead. He was crucified and died on a cross, in OUR place, and was buried for 3 days. He rose from the grave victorious over death and hell. His desire is to save anyone who will repent of their sins and believe in Him. John 3:16 tells us:

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

It is because of this that we have hope today of being forgiven of our sins and spending eternity with Jesus. What must we do to be saved? We must repent of our sins. Turn from our sinful lives. Believe that Jesus is the Son of God and put our trust in Him and Him alone.

This is the truth that will determine our eternity. While I will post a lot of different things that can help to open our eyes, draw us closer to God, or even cause an unbeliever to believe again, let us not lose sight of the most important truth that exists. In John 14:6, Jesus tells us:

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

So, let us not forget this truth as we explore some other thought provoking truths in this blog. This is the foundation for Holy Living because without salvation it is impossible to live a holy life before the Lord.

My prayer is that if you don't have a relationship with Jesus that you will turn to Him today. It is the choice that determines our eternity...

God bless you and your family.
